Thumb Steps Up!
The
Thumb Steps Up! project is a collaborative grant between area hospitals, health
departments, and the MSU Extension offices within the Thumb of Michigan.
The grant objective is to inform and motivate business leaders and communities
about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the implications that poor
nutrition and obesity have on our residents. Funding for this program is
provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

complete the Promoting Active Communities Assessment and Award program

Collaboration with
grocers and food facilities to increase awareness of "healthy" choices
